Events 2024

We received 'Thank You Letters' from both Veterans Outreach Support and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance for our 2024 charity donations.

Following the November Remembrance Service in St Lukes at Haslar, we were at Hornet Sailing Club for a lunch where there were 29 Members and 7 guests.

Twenty five members attended a lunch at the Lysses Hotel, Fareham in August. As usual, Lysses provided an excellent meal.

Having welcomed four new members there are now over seventy Branch members, but there were two resignations and one removal for non payment of subs to the Main Association

Sadly we have to report the death of Maggie Feist, who was an active member and a regular attender at our gatherings.  Maggie served on the committee of the Branch for several years.

Enough volunteers to form a committee came forward and were elected at our AGM in March. This was followed by a good lunch at The Crofton in Stubbington with just over 20 members present. Elected were Branch Secretary, Treasurer and Chair.

This year’s Charity cheques were given to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance - a favourite - and in memory of our former Chair Judi Brown and to Veterans Outreach Support.

Events 2023

The Branch consists of 77 Members. Since the AGM last year we have had six joiners but sadly there have been two deaths, Miss Patricia Gould and Mrs Tricia Tyrell.

In March, 17 members met at Lysses Hotel in Fareham for lunch, which appeared to be enjoyed by all.

The Branch AGM was held in St Mary's Parish Centre, Alverstoke. Regrettably there was a very low turn out, but those who attended tucked into a variety of pizzas on completion of the meeting. A plea for future members for the committee was issued as many of the committee have served for many years, in one capacity or another.

Sadly on 8th November 2023 former MiC Capt Judi Brown ARRC, QARNNS, (RTD), our Chair at Portsmouth Branch, passed away - please see dedicated page.

Events 2022

Portsmouth Branch Members and guests had lunch at the A Bar bistro in Old Portsmouth, following the 2022 Portsmouth Cathedral QARNNS Remembrance Service.

On 31st March 2022 twenty two of us got together for lunch at Bold Forester, Salisbury Green, with everyone seeming to have a good time.

The AGM for the Portsmouth Branch was held on 24th March 2022 at St Mary's Parish Centre.
