AGM 2024
The Bridgewood Manor Hotel & Spa, Chatham, Kent
What a weekend! So much to see and do, from the Annual General Meeting, to the social get together on the Friday evening. A full day at the Historic Chatham Dockyard, visiting the various nautical vessels that were open to the public to embarking on a tour of the sets and props of the TV programme Call The Midwife, A shortened course in rope making, to the highlight of a wonderful gala dinner that was full of hilarity.
Our gratitude to the QARNNS Association Social Secretary and to those who provided the photographic evidence.
Friday
The QARNNS Annual General Meeting was held - details in the next newsletter due out in the autumn.
Saturday
Post breakfast there was a very full and informative day visit to Historic Chatham Dockyards, which provided the RN with ships for over 414 years. Plus we were 'entertained' and shown how to make a rope at the last surviving Ropery in Europe.
The evenings Gala Dinner was great fun, with many of the attendees leaping to the dance floor to bust some moves, if not a hip or a knee!
Sunday
Many returned to their homes with happy memories and great expectations for next years AGM springtime next year.
